Ron Tyler is a native of Cleveland, OH. He was exposed to the arts at the young age of 11 when his father enrolled him in a local talent agency. Through the agency, he was trained and booked for numerous jobs throughout his adolescent years such as commercial print and stage plays.

Upon graduation from high school, he moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend The Ohio State University.  While there, he earned a B.S. in Business Management with a concentration in Financial Management. He also walked on to the nationally ranked Buckeyes football team and played for two years until a few setbacks that limited his playing time.

While his educational focus was not in theatre and performing arts, he still remained active pursuing a career in entertainment outside of school doing stage plays, booking modeling jobs and attending acting workshops.  After college graduation in June 2004 and working in corporate America for 5 years, he decided to move to Atlanta, GA to pursue his dream career in acting.

He realized trying to make it in the entertainment business full-time was not so easy, even if you had "the look." From numerous setbacks throughout his acting career since his move to Atlanta, he is determined to become a relevant talent in the industry.  Ron is known for being a man with great ambition. His current focus is the development of his new hit TV dating reality show, which the title cannot be disclosed yet, while working alongside with his co-creator, friend, and business partner Thomas Powell. 

Since meeting, Ron and Thomas have partnered up on several business ventures. One business venture they presently collaborated on is a clothing line called Struggle-N-Strife Live Life.  It is a motivational clothing line with unique designs to encourage people to keep moving forward in life despite their past experiences and don’t let their past be the outcome of their future.  Live for today, and not for tomorrow and to always remember “it’s not how you start, its how you finish.  Stay tuned-in with updates on the rontyler.com website for more additional information.

• Slice - A comedy/horror feature film starring comedian Pierre Edwards that will be entered in many film festivals across the country and possibly will be seen on BET in late 2011.

• Steve Harvey assists eligible bachelors in finding their perfect match through a question-and-answer elimination process before going on a romantic date.   *(Aired on Centric Network February 2011)

• VH1’s SingleLadies / Episode 3 “Confidence Games” - An one- hour TV sitcom that premiered June 6, 2011 on VH1, starring Lisa Raye McCoy, Stacy Dash and Charity Shea, which the show is Executive Produced by Queen Latifah.

In addition to his history in the entertainment world, he decided to step out on faith and start his own company. During his free time he enjoys mentoring youth, traveling, exercising and spending time with family and friends. He continues to give back to the community through his volunteer work through organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Boys and Girls Club, and serving his country as an U.S. Air Force reservist stationed at Dobbins AFB, Marietta GA.
